CELLS & COMMITTEE'S
Anti- Ragging Cell
In compliance with the Supreme Court of India’s orders and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, Patel Law College formed an Anti-Ragging Cell.
The Cell is committed to keeping the campus atmosphere welcoming, courteous, and safe for all students. It guarantees swift and stringent action against any kind of harassment or intimidation and offers a private forum for reporting instances of ragging.
The Cell informs students about their rights, obligations, and the laws prohibiting ragging through awareness campaigns, workshops, and counseling sessions. The Anti-Ragging Cell contributes to making sure that every student can continue their education in a secure and encouraging setting by promoting a culture of respect, decency, and understanding between people.
Objectives of the Cell
- To prevent incidents of ragging and ensure a safe campus for all students.
- To provide a platform for students to report ragging incidents confidentially.
- To take strict action against perpetrators as per legal and institutional guidelines.
- To promote awareness among students about the consequences of ragging.
- To foster a culture of respect, dignity, and mutual understanding among students.
Activities
The Cell organized a Webinar on Anti-Ragging Awareness and observed Anti-Ragging Week, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
The sessions educated students about legal provisions, institutional policies, and the role of collective responsibility in preventing ragging and promoting student harmony.
