Human Rights Cell
The mission of Patel Law College’s Human Rights Cell (HRC) is to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for human rights among students, faculty, and the general public. In order to equip students to become responsible and knowledgeable citizens, The Cell seeks to promote a culture of equality, justice, and social responsibility.
The Cell teaches students about social justice, ethical obligations, and fundamental rights through workshops, seminars, and outreach initiatives. It gives students a forum to voice their opinions, take part in human rights campaigns, and perform volunteer work.
The college’s dedication to creating a socially conscious campus where equality, respect, and dignity are maintained is reflected in the Human Rights Cell. The Cell makes sure that future citizens and legal professionals are informed, sympathetic, and aggressive in defending the rights of all people by educating students about human rights issues.
Objectives of the Cell
- To promote awareness and understanding of human rights among students and staff.
- To organize programs, campaigns, and activities that highlight social justice, equality, and dignity.
- To encourage students to participate in advocacy, research, and community service related to human rights.
- To provide guidance and support on human rights issues and concerns within the college community.
- To collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations for human rights initiatives.
Activities
The Cell conducted an interactive Session on Human Rights accompanied by a documentary screening, highlighting the importance of dignity, equality, and justice for all.
Students also participated in a creative activity of fingerprint and handprint impressions, symbolizing unity, individuality, and collective responsibility toward human rights awareness.
