Legal Services Clinic
Patel Law College’s Legal Services Clinic offers free legal aid to disadvantaged people and communities while giving students hands-on experience in the legal field. It fills the void between academic legal education and practical legal application.
Under the direction of knowledgeable teachers and legal experts, the Clinic enables students to hone their abilities in legal research, client counseling, and conflict resolution. In order to inform the public about their rights, responsibilities, and legal options, it regularly hosts workshops and awareness campaigns.
The Legal Services Clinic advances justice, equity, and access to the legal system by providing community service and addressing the legal concerns of underrepresented groups. It demonstrates the college’s dedication to experiential learning and social responsibility, preparing students to become capable and socially conscientious legal professionals.
Objectives of the Clinic
- To provide free legal aid and advisory services to marginalized and underprivileged sections of society.
- To offer students practical exposure to legal procedures, client interaction, and case management.
- To create awareness about legal rights, duties, and remedies among citizens.
- To promote the principles of justice, equity, and access to law.
- To encourage research, internships, and projects focused on public interest and legal aid.
Activities
The Legal Services Cell celebrated Legal Services Day at K. R. Puram Government School, conducting awareness sessions on legal rights and access to justice for students.
A community survey was also undertaken, aimed at understanding public awareness of legal aid services and promoting the importance of legal literacy at the grassroots level.
