Girls Student Grievance Redressal Cell

In order to fairly, sensitively, and discreetly handle the academic, administrative, and private problems of female students, Patel Law College developed the Girls Student Grievance Redressal Cell (GSGRC). The Cell works to promote gender equality and inclusivity on campus while ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of female students.

The Cell gives female students a forum to freely express their complaints and guarantees that the right steps are taken as soon as possible through frequent meetings, counseling, and awareness campaigns. In order to boost students’ self-esteem and leadership, it also hosts workshops on women’s rights, self-defense, and legal awareness.

The college’s dedication to fostering an atmosphere that is secure, courteous, and empowering for all female students is reflected in the GSGRC.

Objectives of the Cell

  • To provide a platform for girl students to express their grievances without fear or hesitation.
  • To ensure fair, prompt, and confidential redressal of issues affecting female students.
  • To promote gender sensitivity and equal opportunity in all institutional activities.
  • To create awareness about legal rights, safety, and welfare measures for women.
  • To empower girl students through guidance, counseling, and educational outreach programs.

Activities

The Cell organized a Seminar and Workshop on the POSH Act, 2013, to create awareness about workplace safety, gender equality, and legal protection against sexual harassment.

An Awareness Session on Girls’ Rights was also conducted, empowering students with knowledge of their legal entitlements and promoting gender sensitization on campus.
