CELLS & COMMITTEE'S
SC & ST Cell
In order to protect the rights and interests of students who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities, Patel Law College created the SC/ST Cell in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Government of India and the University Grants Commission (UGCl.p).
By supporting, advising, and helping SC/ST students with their academic, financial, and personal needs, the Cell seeks to promote equality and inclusion. It provides a forum for resolving complaints, doing away with discrimination, and fostering peace on campus.
The Cell strives to empower students and assist them in achieving academic and personal success by providing information on government welfare programs, counseling, and awareness campaigns.
Objectives of the Cell
- To ensure the effective implementation of the policies and programs of the Government for SC/ST students.
- To provide guidance, counseling, and support on academic and career matters.
- To address and resolve issues related to discrimination, grievances, or any unfair treatment.
- To create awareness about the constitutional rights and legal safeguards for SC/ST communities.
- To foster an inclusive environment that promotes equality and empowerment.
Activities
The Cell organized a Seminar on the Reservation Policy, aimed at educating students about the constitutional provisions, objectives, and significance of reservation in promoting social justice.
The session provided valuable insights into equality, inclusivity, and legal perspectives, fostering awareness and understanding among the students.
